  27.       I've had the best foreign food at the worst looking places.

  29.       For example:

  31.       (1)  A middle eastern restaurant in Cambridge, MA
  32.            that disappeared many moons ago.
  33.            Run by a married couple from the middle east
  34.                whose son was attending a local school.
  35.            The restaurant looked like a closet and had
  36.            walls and tables of linoleum
  37.            and plain ordinary cafeteria dishes.
  38.            But the food was Outstanding.  It's
  39.            the only time I've had REAL Turkish coffee
  40.            and REAL Baklava.  Everywhere else
  41.            the Turkish coffee has tasted like mud,
  42.            and the Baklava has been way too sweet.
  43.            It's as if the chefs at those other
  44.            places have never had REAL middle eastern food
  45.            (so they really shouldn't be selling it).

  47.       (2)  the TANDOOR sub shop.
  48.            EXCELLENT REAL INDIAN FOOD.
  49.            (also sells american subs)
  50.            Their Tamarind Chutney & Indian breads are fantastic.
  51.            It's located on Mass Ave in Arlington, MA.
  52.            Next door to the Post Office near Park Avenue.
  53.            You know an Indian restaurant is good
  54.            when you see Indian people eating there.

  56.                   Indian FRIED RICE (Pulao)

  59.      1   Cup Basmati Rice           2 Cups boiling water
  60.      1   tsp salt                   1 tsp fennel seeds
  61.      1   tsp coriandor seeds        1 medium sized onion, chopped
  62.      1/4 tsp garlic               1/4 tsp ginger
  63.      1   bay leaf                   1 big cardamon
  64.      2   cloves                     4 black peppercorns
  65.      1/4 stick cinnamon             2 tbsp butter
  66.      1   tsp lemon juice
  67.  
  68.      Grind onion, ginger, and garlic together.
  69.      GRIND fennel seeds, coriander, clove, black peppercorns,
  70.      and cinammon.  MELT butter and ADD bay leaf and cardamon,
  71.      followed by ground ginger, garlic & onion.
  72.      COOK for 5 minutes at moderate heat.
  73.      Then ADD the dry ground spices.
  74.      After 2 minutes ADD rice & boiling water.
  75.      COOK well over low heat.
  76.      When rice is done ADD lemon juice.

  89.     JOHN LENNON:  Well... it was mainly the PARENTS and they
  90.           were against Rock N' Roll from the beginning.
  91.           People have always been trying to stomp out
  92.                   Rock N' Roll since it started.

  94.      TOM SNYDER:  Why do you think that is?
  95.           What are they afraid of?

  97.     JOHN LENNON:  I always thought it was because it came from
  98.           BLACK MUSIC... and the words contained alot of
  99.           double-entendre in the early days.
  100.           "Our WHITE kids, our WHITE WASPS, were going
  101.           to go cRaZy with all this moving of their bodies."
  102.           You know, the music got to your body.
  103.           The BEATLES took it a bit further.
  104.           They made it a little more WHITE...
  105.           ... even WHITER than ELVIS did,
  106.           ... because we're ENGLISH.
